Support

Always feel free to contact us at 954-434-1968 for any help with email setup or FTP problems. You don't have to figure it out for yourself, or even read these pages. We are here to help.

If your domain name is brianhaines.com and you read support pages that refer to www.yoursite.com then you should type www.brianhaines.com for your site. Please note that the www is not required to visit your Website in a browser. If we ask you to go to webmail.yoursite.com then you would type webmail.brianhaines.com and never www.webmail.brianhaines.com.

Email settings:
To setup your email in a POP3 client like Outlook, Evolution or Thunderbird you will need to know the following:

POP3 Server: yourdomain.com
SMTP Server: yourdomain.com OR your Internet Service Provider (ISP) SMTP server. (i.g. mail.bellsouth.net)
Username: email@yourdomain.com - This is the full email address for the account you are setting up. Not just the part before the @ sign.
Password: (We can reset this for you if you don't have it)

If using yourdomain.com: The outgoing server requires authentication using the same settings as the incoming mail server. This setting is sometimes on an Outgoing Server tab under "More Settings" or "Advanced" in many email programs (Outlook). Alternatively you may use port 5190 if you can't get outgoing mail to work with the default port 25.

If using your ISP for outgoing mail follow the instruction they give for outgoing mail. Many do not require authentication (AT&T does not) and you would never use 5190 for your ISP as that is a One Park Place exclusive setting.

FTP settings:
When you login via FTP your home folder is /var/www/vhosts/yoursite.com
Your public web pages are located in the httpdocs folder with is /var/www/vhosts/yoursite.com/httpdocs
So if you use Dreamweaver you may elect to place httpdocs/ as the value for "Host Directory" under the "Remote Info" section. OR you may place your Web content within a folder called "httpdocs" under your Document Root within the "Local Info" section.
